Abstract: ECOTEC, according to the circular economy principles and based on sustainable methodologies, is organized in 5 realization objectives: 1) Project management; dissemination, exploitation; 2) Development of novel materials and sustainable processes for the functionalization of technical textiles; 3) Inclusion of optoelectronic devices on fabrics, 4) Smart textiles prototyping; 5) Life Cycle Assessment. The general objective of the ECOTEC project is the design of high-tech materials and processes for the technical clothing sector (Smart Textiles), combining the most recent innovations in the field of materials science and chemical and physical processes with sustainability criteria. ECOTEC aims to create a technological platform based on nanomaterials and other advanced materials for the production of smart fabrics for technical clothing.
