Open Day La Primavera della Ricerca – Pisa, 12/05/2023
SAVE THE DATE: May 12, 2023 – La Primavera della Ricerca.
An Open Day dedicated to science for the 100th anniversary of the CNR, at the Research Area of Pisa.
We will talk about sustainability, biodiversity, ecological and digital transition, clean energy, circular economy, life sciences, one health, cultural heritage, peace and scientific diplomacy. There will be talks for high schools in the morning, open laboratories with CNR researchers throughout the day and an afternoon event, a talk show to talk about science, research and the future. The event will be closed by the CNR President Prof. Maria Chiara Carrozza.
ICCOM Pisa will join the event with several contributions on the centenary themes: in the morning in the auditorium, among the open laboratories and in the afternoon talk show.
Talk for Schools: ChimicAmaTerra (Dr. Silvia Borsacchi). Chemistry, often considered the enemy of the environment and health, has been and is actually an enormous resource for the creation of an increasingly circular economy, a fundamental tool for building development sustainable.
Open Laboratory: Innovative catalysts towards a more sustainable production of green hydrogen (Dr. Claudio Evangelisti, Dr. Emanuela Pitzalis) Towards new catalysts in which critical elements -precious due to their cost and scarce availability on the planet- are replaced with more sustainable ones (clean energy).
Open Laboratory: Earthworms: an aid to waste management (Dr. Lucia Calucci, Dr. Silvia Borsacchi, Dr. Silvia Pizzanelli, in collaboration with IRET and IPCF) It will be shown how earthworms can be considered chemical reactors where organic waste is transformed into compost for agriculture (circular economy).
