The ICCOM Trieste Third Parties Research Unit (URT) is located in the Trieste University Campus inside the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science. The staff personnel consists of 1 Full Professor and 1 Associate Professor, both as CNR Associates, and many PhD students and postdocs. The main research lines include sustainable chemistry (pollutant abatement by catalysis and photocatalysis, process innovation, targeting high efficiency and selectivity) and the use of renewables for hydrogen technology, biomass valorisation, catalytic and photocatalytic CO₂ conversion). The URT has competence in inorganic chemistry, catalysis and materials science in particular related to nanotechnology and use in different fields of application.
