Title: Bilateral project CNR-RFBR (Russia) – Homogeneous amine-borane dehydrogenation catalyzed by Rare-Earth and 3d transition metal complexes.

Principal Investigator: Andrea Rossin.

Project type: International – CNR and RFBR Russia.

Duration: 09/2018-31/12/2021.

Abstract: The project focuses on the synthesis of new organometallic catalysts based on metals of the 3d transition series and on rare earths (Y, Yb, Lu) for the dehydrogenation of ammonia borane and amine boranes. The production of ultra-pure H2 from these inorganic hydrides is studied through kinetic and spectroscopic techniques.

ICCOM participants: Andrea Rossin, Giuliano Giambastiani, Lapo Luconi, Giulia Tuci, Maurizio Peruzzini.

Partnership: A.N.Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INEOS RAS), Moscow, Russia.

Financed by: CNR and Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR).

Financial contribution (overall): € 120.000.

Financial contribution (ICCOM): € 120.000.
