Title: Technological valorisation of hydrogen in the Florentine area

ICCOM Principal Investigator: Maurizio Peruzzini

Project Type: National

Duration: 01/09/2015-31/05/2017

Abstract: The HYDROLAB-2.0 project has as the goal of extending the objectives of FLORENCE HYDROLAB (2004-2009) and FLORENCE HYDROLAB2 (2011-2013) programs, developing multidisciplinary approaches of fundamental and applied research in the field of hydrogen technologies. The project (motu proprio of ECRF foundation) intends to address in a synergistic way the realization of a hydrogen supply chain based on the exploitation of biomass, production and storage of hydrogen, use of advanced technologies (laser light, high pressures, power generators) and interact actively with the institutional and industrial partners of the Florentine district. The project is divided into 4 Work Packages: WP1 – biohydrogen from renewable sources; WP2 – optical catalysis for the production of hydrogen; WP3 – catalytic processes for storage and production of hydrogen from organic hydrides (valorisation of CO2 / H2 system); WP4 – implementation of portable hydrogen-based power generators.

Partnership: ICCOM-CNR, LENS and University of Florence.

.ICCOM Participants: WP1: Alessandra Adessi, Roberto De Philippis (associate, WP leader); WP2: Roberto Bini (associate, WP leader), Matteo Ceppatelli, Samuele Fanetti, Demetrio Scelta; WP3: Federica Bertini, Luca Gonsalvi (WP leader), Antonella Guerriero, Irene Mellone, Maurizio Peruzzini ; WP4: Alessandro Lavacchi, Andrea Marchionni, Werner Oberhauser, Francesco Vizza (WP leader).
