The Institute of Chemistry of OrganoMetallic Compounds (ICCOM), established in 2001, belongs to the Department of Chemical Sciences and Technology of Materials (DSCTM) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). ICCOM undertakes fundamental and applied research in Green Chemistry, Renewable Energy, Advanced Materials, Chemistry for Life Sciences, Chemistry for Cultural Heritage and Computational Chemistry. Regarding electrochemical energy technologies, ICCOM carries out research in production of hydrogen from water electrolysis based on low temperature alkaline technologies and the development of low temperature fuel cells with high power density and limited or no impact on critical raw materials.
