Research interests:

Nanostructured polymer based-materials preparation by dispersing host-guest hybrid systems obtained by modification of layered inorganic substrates (nanocarriers) with functional /active ingredients: study of the confinement effects on thermal features and on transferring the functional properties (antimicrobial, photoresponsive, anti-oxidant)

Synthesis and characterization of oil and biobased functional polymers by post-polymerization reactions in bulk and onto surface (by solvent/melt processing and Plasma or UV-activated procedures)

Functionalization of phosphorene and its dispersion in polymers (even by polymerization in situ methodologies) to achieve advanced materials suitable for optoelectronics and biomedical applications

Reactive blending and processing of polymers and composites (micro and nano): the reactions at the interface and their effects on interphase morphology stabilization

Properties/structure relationships at the nanoscale of polymer based materials
