The Giovedìscienza 2022 national prize awarded to Dr. Alessio Dessì
Dr. Alessio Dessì, CNR-ICCOM researcher of the Sesto Fiorentino site, is the winner of the first prize of the eleventh edition of the GiovedìScienza National Award, the scientific competition for researchers under 35 from all Italian research institutions, organized by the association Turin CentroScienza Onlus with the aim of promoting and encouraging the protagonists of research to communicate science. Dr. Dessì was awarded the prize with the “Superhero Chemistry” project. The research studies how the synthesis of photoreactive organic molecules can be carried out in a more “green” way, through alternative techniques capable of minimizing consumption and waste deriving from the manufacturing process, to make chemistry cleaner and more sustainable.
