SCI Inorganic Chemistry Division Career Acknowledgement awarded to Dr C. Mealli
At the forty-seventh Congress of the Inorganic Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), held in Bari from the 9th to the 12th September 2019, the president Francesco Paolo Fanizzi delivered a special plate of acknowledgment to Dr Carlo Mealli for its continuous activity in the community of the Italian inorganic chemists.
Dr. Mealli was “Dirigente di Ricerca” at the CNR-ICCOM Institute till the year 2011, when he retired after forty consecutive years of activity. Since then, he continued his passionate work as an Associate Researcher of the Institute with the attainment of new scientific results of international impact in the field of structural and theoretical chemistry. In particular, by working in symbiosis with some still in career researchers, various frontier aspects of the chemical bonding and reactivity were tackled and understood, also allowing the collaborators to reach a higher degree of maturity.
