Biosketch:

Education: Ph.D. cum laude in Earth Science (2013-2016, final examination: 28/01/2016); Post-graduate course “Scuola di Alti Studi in Economia del Turismo Culturale”, Fondazione Edoardo Garrone (2012); M.A. in Earth Sciences, University of Catania, Italy (2010-2012, final mark: 110/110 cum laude); B.A. Applied Technologies for Cultural Heritages (Conservator Scientist),University of Catania, Italy (2006-2009, final mark: 110/110 cum laude).

Work Experience: CNR Researcher at ICCOM-Pisa (since 2019); Young researcher (GEO/09) (RTD-a, L.240/2010) at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Pisa, Italy (2016-2019); Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Catania in the framework of the project TECLA (2016).

Management: Principal Investigator / Local Coordinator in various national and international project, including: PRIN Bando 2017 Project No 20173X8WA4 “FIBRES” (2019); Co-Responsible for Progetti Speciali per la Didattica dell’Università di Pisa (2018-2020); Principal Investigator for PRA (Progetti di Ricerca di Ateneo) UNIPI (2018-2019); Responsible for a joint research program with VIT University, Vellore, India (2019). Participation to International Projects: EU Project Horizon 2020 Nano-cathedral (2017-2018, www.nanocathedral.eu/). Principal Investigator in several experimental researches at international facilities (Synchrotron Radiation Facilities: Soleil, France; ELETTRA, Italy; Neutron sources: LLB, CEA-Saclay, France).

Honors and Awards: Awardee for the 2020 DUO-India Professor Fellowship Award for research and teaching mobility (2019); National Prize bestowed by the Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology (SIMP) for the best Doctoral thesis in material science disciplines (2016); National Prize “Angelo Bianchi” bestowed by the Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology (SIMP) in honor of the scientific contribute to the Italian Mineralogical and Petrological Sciences (2015).
