Education: Degree in Industrial Chemistry (summa cum laude), University of Pisa (1993); PhD in Chemistry, University of Pisa (1997).

Work Experience: Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Pisa, Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (1996-2001); Researcher at ICCOM-CNR Pisa (2001-2018); Senior Researcher at ICCOM-CNR Pisa (since 2018).

Management: From 2001 to 2018: Scientific Responsible of CNR-ICCOM team in national (MIUR) and international projects (EU FP7) and research agreements with industrial companies (BASF, Arkema, TOTAL, SpecialChem, Faraplan). From 2001 to now: Participant as researcher to National (FIRB, PRIN) and International project (FP6, ERC). From November 2013 to December 2014 was Responsible of the Pisa Section of CNR-ICCOM.

Other Activities: Teaching Activity (from 2010 to 2016): Associate Professor at the University of Pisa giving the course “Polymer Material Technology” and "Materials Technologies; from 2010 to 2011 she gave also courses/lessons at SNS. Advisor of 20 Master Students (UNIPI) and 2 PhD Student in Chemistry (UNIPI and SNS); invited Co-Advisor of Ph.D student coming from Chile and Bangkok Universities. Supervisor of 22 Post-Doc and grant-holder students. From 2011 to 2016 Associate Editor of Polymer International (Wiley) and member of the Executive Advisory Board. Reviewer of the most important journals in macromolecular chemistry and physics. From 2016 to now: appraiser for MiSE projects related to “Fondo Crescita Sostenibile”

Publications: Author of 120 publications, 9 patents, 13 chapters in books and of more than 100 communications to international congresses.

Research interests: synthesis and characterization of functional polymers by post-reactor reactions, synthesis and characterization of functional nanostructured materials (polymer nanocomposites) and reactive blending and processing of polymers for the preparation of advanced polymer-based materials suitable in the fields of packaging, automotive, and building; plastics recycling approaches; preparation of micro- and nano-composites through catalytic and radical polymerization approaches (reactor blending); properties/structure relationships even at the nanoscale of polymer based materials.
