Education: Degree in Physics, University of Pisa (1984).
Work Experience: Senior Researcher at ICCOM-CNR Pisa; Head of the Applied and Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory at Research Area of CNR in Pisa (since 2006).
Management: He has lead and participated in many national and international projects and managed many research contracts with small, medium and large enterprises.
Honours and Awards: LIBS Award 2019; National Qualification as Full Professor in Experimental Physics of the Matter (02/B1, 2012).
Conference Organisation: Organiser of the first LIBS International Conference in Pisa (2000); Chairman of the 9th EMSLIBS Conference in Pisa (June 2017).
Teaching: University of Pisa, Courses of Analytical Chemistry IV and Archaeometry; University of Turin, Course of Physical Methods for Restoration/Multispectral Analysis; Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Course of Chemical-Physical Methods for the Characterization of Materials.
