XIII Congress of the Interdivisional Group of Organometallic Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society (Co.G.I.C.O. 2018)

The XIII Conference of the Interdivisional Group of Organometallic Chemistry of The Italian Chemical Society (Co.G.I.C.O. 2018) organized by ICCOM-CNR, will be held in Florence from 18th to 20th July 2018 at the Exhibition Center (Sala Adua 1), which is located in the city center, not far from the Central Train Station of Santa Maria Novella.


This year the conference, which is organized every two years by the Interdivisional Group G.I.C.O., reaches its thirteen edition and continues to represent a meeting point for the Italian researchers involved in Organometallic Chemistry and its potential applications, ranging from Homogeneous Catalysis to Sustainable Chemistry, Material Sciences, Nanotechnologies, Chemistry for Energy, Bio-organometallic Chemistry Material Sciences.



In recent years the scientific interest of both organic and inorganic chemists for Organometallic Chemistry has steadily grown, as proved by the large participation of researchers of both divisions that are working in this area, making this interdisciplinary group one of the largest in the Italian Chemical Society.



This year the Co.G.I.C.O. will take advantage of a unique opportunity: the conference will be organized in the framework of an event of great international relevance, the ICOMC 2018 Conference (www.icomc2018.com), that will be held in Florence from 15th to 20th July 2018. Participants registered to Co.G.I.C.O. will thus be granted admission to all the simultaneous sessions of ICOMC 2018, which will host our Conference in one dedicated session. At the same time participants registered to ICOMC 2018 will be able to participate to Co.G.I.C.O. sessions (consisting of oral presentations and posters in addition to 3 Plenary, 2 Keynote and 4 Invited Lectures). In this way, we will have the possibility to widen to an international community not only the diffusion of results but also the exchange of ideas and expertise.
