IUPAC invites women and men from all science organizations around the world to attend the Global Women Breakfast 2026 (https://iupac.org/gwb/), a great yearly global initiative to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. In this occasion we invite all colleagues to participate at the events organized in Pisa and Florence:Pisa:
– The Italian Commission for IUPAC (NAO-CNR) has organised the virtual event “La meraviglia della chimica nell’organizzare gli spazi vuoti nei materiali microporosi” a lecture and discussion with
Prof. Silvia Bordiga (Università di Torino).
Tuesday 10 February 2026 10:00 – 11:00 CET.

– The EIC project Double-Active Membranes for a sustainable CO2 cycle (dam4co2.eu) organizes a local event in Pisa, joint with the above mentioned virtual event to discuss about the gender and diversity inclusion in European projects.

The Pisa event will be on Tuesday 10 February 2026 11:00 – 12:00 CET (Room 27, Area della Ricerca di Pisa).

Florence:
– Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 13:00 hours: Lunch, offered by the organizers thanks to contributions and funding from institutions and departments (UniFi, LENS, INRiM, Area della Ricerca di Firenze – CNR e INFN) from the scientific campus of Sesto Fiorentino.
