The
Research Group at University of Almería (Almería,
Spain)
The
Almería group (participating in the AQUACHEM project is formed
by members of different institutions (U. Almería, U de la
Laguna-Tenerife (Canary Islands), PSA-DLR) which are interested in
organometallic chemistry, catalysis and photochemical processes. The
participants in the group are:
- Antonio
Manuel Romerosa Nievas (Profesor Titular de
Universidad; team leader)
- Pedro
Gili Trujillo (Catedrático de Universidad)
- Pablo
Lorenzo Luis (Profesor titular de Universidad)
- Carlos
Saraiba Bello (Technical Staff)
- Piedad
Calderon Rodríguez (Technical Staff)
- Sonia
Mañas Carpio (Postdoctoral Fellow)
- Mustapha Saoud
(PhD student)
- Tatiana Campos
(PhD student)
- Chiara Ciardi
(PhD student)
- Christoph Richter
(Researcher)
Short-term
international visitors and postdoctoral students also periodically
visit the group on the basis of several bilateral programs and
collaborative linkages
Besides
the project which is financed by this MCRTN, the group is involved in
the following additional research areas:
-
Organometallic chemistry of
transition metal unsaturated carbenes (vinylidenes and allenylidenes).
-
Activation and functionalization of
white phosphorus and related elements.
-
Solar photochemical process
mediated by water soluble metal complexes
The
above projects are carried out in collaboration with scientists from
many other Countries (Germany, Peru, Portugal, Italy, and Morocco).
Financial support of these projects is provided by the European
Commission (COST and INTAS), NATO, MCYT (Spain Government), PAI
(Andalusia Regional Government).
